    • My favorite of the cars Ive owned

I bought this car (GLK250 Bluetec) to take the place of my bad weather SUV (18 mph) and my good weather hybrid (35 mph) and I couldnt be happier. I average 30 mph combined city and highway, and have gotten 40 mph on long highway trips. I get to bypass a lot of gas stations. It is very comfortable with good seat adjustments, good visibility, and is a lot of fun to drive. On the backroads, its like driving a go-cart. The cargo area has been large enough for all of my needs. My only complaint would be that a little more leg room in back would have been nice, but I dont haul a lot of people around, so its not a big issue for me. Ive not had any problems with this car and have not found the maintenance to be expensive. (I dont take it to a dealer.) And I love the aesthetics of the body styling and interior.
    • This is one of the best vehicles I have owned.

This vehicle runs great and has lots of get up and go with the V6 engine. I have had zero issues with the SUV and have no complaints. The V6 engine gives this SUV all the power it needs on the highway and gets great gas mileage on the street. I love the design of the vehicle, it is stylish and keeps in line the distinguished looks of Mercedes Benz vehicles. The seating is comfortable in both the front and rear, and is perfect for a family of four. I will surely purchase the next model of this class of Mercedes in the future.
    • IT’S A KEEPER!

Made the huge mistake of selling my 2014 Benzie and I have regretted it ever since the guy drove it out of my driveway. Thought I could find a new, better SUV to buy. NOT! Tried Volvo XC60, Volvo XC90, BMW X3, and BMW X5. These were all newer cars in the 2019-2021 range. Not one of them could hold a candle to this great little car! They had all the bells and whistles with the latest technology but the ride, the noise, the level of visibility and the simple, stated elegance of the GLK were missing from each and every one of them. It made me realize I had made a terrible mistake. So much so, I just located and purchased a 2015 350 GLK with less than 60,000 miles and it’s identical the one I just sold (except it has a backup camera). The GLK rides high so you can take in the world around you. The windows are large and square so you can actually see as opposed to the new cars that seem to keep cutting away at our visibility. The instrumentation is simple and easy to use. The only negative on this car for me was the Becker Nav system and upgrading was cost prohibitive. The ride…now that’s the best part. The car is nimble, responsive, solid and so much fun to drive. The V6 gives you that extra jolt of power and seamlessly handles whatever lies ahead on the road. It’s a joy to drive and doesn’t look like every other SUV out there. I like being different and this car is so distinctive and even has a happy face to boot! Why do the new designers think that “angry” lights and grills are appealing. Not sure what adventures my new Benzie will bring me but my previous one only needed regular oil changes and a tire change. It was trouble free! Do yourself a favor if you own one of these classics, don’t sell it. Take good care of it, enjoy its wonderfully unique personality and hang on to it! Many more miles to go!
